Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing a p&s digicam to take with me on vacation. I already own the Fuji S2 which on this trip will be used exclusively for underwater photography. It would be nice to have a small, light camera to get candid topside shots. Last time it was a pain to pull the camera out of it's u/w housing.

I would like to have another DSLR but cannot justify the expense at this time. Here is what I would like, something slim and lightweight, uses CF, AA or AAA batteries, nice big LCD screen, intuitive functions, mac compatible, 4-5 megapixels. Advanced functions such as shutter priority/aperture priority would be nice but not crucial. Ideally, not more than $400

Does such a camera exist?

TIA,

Karen

For big LDs, I think you should look at Pentax, Casio, and Sony. I've been testing the 7 megapixel Casio Exilim EX-Z750. Take a look at it (http://www.pcphotoreview.com/cat/digital-cameras/6-megapixel-and-higher/Casio/PRD_335580_5648crx.aspx). It's got more resolution than you're asking for. But the features are right, shutter-lag and start-up are excellent, and B&H has it for $399.

I've grown really attached to the pentax range :D I would recommend them, but I haven't tested alot of camera's to judge, and am not much of a photogropher :P
