Okay, here is Leah...again.

I had my Nikon 70-300 on the S3 @ 200 ASA zoomed around 100.
F11 @ 1\60

I have had better exposure in manual rather than in A mode. ??..
I have been trying to get her to look so I can get her eyes, easier said than done. This model may be cheap, but she has her own opinion and when she has had enough of the photo shoot she will let you know!

I am going to try the film mode next weekend to see if I can tell any difference in the skin tones.

Any thoughts?

Zoom in tighter on the face, spot meter and then close down 1 extra spot, that should give you a good reading. I normally try to shoot the model eye level, but with the hammock, I might try raising the camera height and shooting down on an angle a little more. I feel that the webbing is distracting in the forground, but would a cool background if it were out of focus. Maybe focus on the eyes with an F/4 and raise the shutter speed to compensate. I have a nine year old who is also beginning to get a little sick of Dad always looking for new and cooler lighting, etc.

Overall, great shot of an adorable little one.

Interesting shot. The main problem I have is the shadow over her head. Other then that, the colors are great and I love the hammock in the foreground, nice and unfocused.

Nice shot,

Jared

Nice shot Chris. I don't mind the shadow at all. I do mind the strong horizontal line of the hammock in the FG tho. I find it to be a little overpowering.

Hi,
I agree with Michael anout the front hammock. If it was more blurry, I think the overall impression would be stronger. Nice shot.
