I'm looking for a French song that I heard on a snowboarding DVD that my son played while we were in Colorado. I don't think he has the DVD anymore. The female singer has a very sexy voice, the song is upbeat and bouncy, but not the kind of song you'd hear in a disco. It was great for a snowboarding video though. She sings, but it's more like a "speak-sing". I'm sure it's a popular song right now, but not around here ... not on OUR radios, at least.
And here's the real helpful part:  (not really)
The only word I remember she says is "trois", and it's at the end of the phrase ... kinda like she's saying "(da dat da dat da dat) a trois."
I don't think it's "menage a trois", but it could be "un, deux, a trois".
The whole song is in French.
Can anyone help me with this limited description I gave you? I really want to buy the song.

Do you remember the name of the video?
no, I never saw it ... we rented a car with a DVD player in it so he watched it in the back seat. All I did was hear the songs the whole trip. :D At least they were pretty good songs.
I know some other songs that were on the DVD ... "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service was on it, as well as the Cars' "Hello Again" ... a couple more 80s songs that I'm not remembering at the moment ... I *think* Madness' "I'm Driving In My Car" was on there ...
I can ask my son tomorrow for the name of the DVD if he remembers it.
I gave it a try using a few websites I know that let you search with chucks of lyrics, but yer stuff only turned up gutter minded frenchmen, and one really cool french canadian band.

I can't think of her name at the moment, but the group 'Enigma' comes to mind - the "man" behind Enigma is married to the woman who sings on the tracks (sans dans moi - que est ce tu cherchez? - roughly - with in me - what do you desire?). She has since launched her own career - and - quite frankly, this is the only french, female singer that I can think of that's had ANY success in the US.
Look up Enigma - find out the hubbie's name and you'll find the wife.
Kelly I'll not only tell you the song, but I'll do you one better.
The song is Stereo Total's L' Amour A' 3 and you can download it free from the record label's site (http://www.killrockstars.com/bands/stereototal/audio/). If you want the whole CD, it's on Musique Automatique - if you have an emusic.com account (which EVERYONE should) they have it there for download.
Oh and the snowboard dvd is called Lame, but what I found from google is that the soundrtrack is anything but. :)

I just downloaded this song, and I actually like it. It made me want to listen to 99 luftballons for some reason though.

Yeah, she's got the same voice quality.
In fact, you reminded me that *I* was thinking of 99 luftballoons on the whole trip, too ...
