2 things:

1> I tried to upload some gifs from my site into the toy camera gallery, and it didn't seem to work. Since I post from a PC (using Firefox) in a cafe, I right cicked on the photo on my site and selected "copy image location" and pasted that into the upload. The photos still haven't shown up, so obviously I didn't do it right. How can I upload a photo from my site without first downloading the file to the desktop? Forgive me, I don't know HTML.

2> A photo gallery I'm associated with is having a national juried show, and are looking for submissions. Where on this site would be appropriate to post this information, if any place?

Thanks!

Megan

Megan-
You have to actually upload images to the gallery. You can't just associate another Web address, like you were trying to do. It sounds like the language or instructions on the upload page might be confusing. I'll have to take a look at that. In any case, you will need to save the images and upload them in order to post them to the gallery.

If you want to post a notice about a juried competition or show, you can do it on the News and Rumors page. You might also want to post it on the Art forum, if it's an art thing. Sounds like it.

Groovy! Thanks. I didn't want to spam you or post in the wrong spot. Looks like I might have to open my mouth and ask one of the guys here where to download the photos! SIGH, I'll have to talk to someone. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

You can't save the images to the desktop? Is there a floppy drive or memory card slot on the computer? Most Internet cafes have some kind of access so that people with digital cameras can upload photos when they're on the road. You might have to invest in a small capacity memory card or USB flash drive.

Thanks, I figured it out! There was a folder that I'm supposed to use. I really gotta upgrade my Mac so I can do this from home. Wearing nothing but granny underwear, if I so choose.

:D

Thanks John!
I managed to post a couple things just now.
