I did end up buying another memory card, so I have 2.768G total.

I just want to make sure that the cards are safe going though the metal detectors and xray machines at the airports.

THANKS!

There were some test results posted on this site awhile back, and from what I can remember, there wasn't any problems at all with memory cards and airports.

Here is the link, but it looks like Arctirus beat me too it.

Thanks folks. I still feel a little uneasy, but I'll trust them. I've taken my 256MB card through it 3-4 times and it seems to be fine. I'm just always concerned.

THANKS AGAIN!

I know the feeling. Even with the above into I bought a cd burner for my laptop.

I've been through Luton, Barcelona, Stanstead, and Valencia airports with no problems.
The memory cards were either in the pocket of my photo-waistcoat, or in the camera.
Both of which went through a total of 4 X-Ray machines.

No problems found at all.
Even the Phototainer's hard disk was OK.
And the laptop in the camera bag.
